Healthcare AI search

Make sense of AI search for your healthcare practice

GEO means Generative Engine Optimisation, a term used for work on visibility in AI-generated answers. We help healthcare owners check how their public services are described, improve the source information and decide whether the work is useful for their business.

Start with the information patients need

If an answer service mentions your practice, its description should not confuse the location, appointment type or next step. The first useful task is to check the information you control: your own service pages, contact details and other maintained public profiles.

A wrong fee on your website is worth correcting whether or not an AI system has repeated it. A working, clear appointment page remains valuable even when no AI citation follows.

What can be included in the work

  • A record of observed answers. The question used, the service tested, date, visible sources and the claim that needs checking.
  • A review of your public information. Services, locations, clinician details where relevant and contact arrangements.
  • Specific corrections. Clearer wording, resolved contradictions and fixes that help visitors and search services reach important pages.
  • A proportionate review. What changed in later observations and whether any relevant visits or enquiries can be verified.

We agree the scope before starting. An observation from a selected set of questions is not a complete measure of how every person sees your practice. Answers can vary with the wording, context, location and time of the request.

You do not need a special AI version of your website

Google's guidance for AI Overviews and AI Mode says the core SEO practices still apply, with no additional requirements or special optimisation. It also says no special schema is needed for these features.

That guidance concerns Google's features; different services have their own access and product behaviour. Ask for a reason tied to official guidance before paying for a special file, tag or content format claimed to secure AI inclusion.

An example: the wrong location appears in an answer

Illustrative situation: a practice sees an AI answer placing a service at its former address. Record the exact question and any cited sources. Check the current website, location pages and profiles the practice maintains. Correct an outdated source you control, or request a correction from the relevant publisher where appropriate.

Later, repeat the same check and inspect related questions. Record whether the error remains. A corrected source does not guarantee when an answer service updates, and one corrected answer does not establish that the problem has disappeared everywhere.

How to judge whether the work is worth continuing

Agree which decisions the review will support. Useful outcomes can include fixing a factual error, resolving conflicting service information or identifying a relevant referral from an AI service where your reporting can show it.

Keep observed mentions, citations, website visits and received enquiries separate. A mention without a link is different from a referral visit; a referral visit is different from a booked appointment. Avoid a single visibility score that hides those distinctions.

No agency can guarantee that your practice appears in ChatGPT, Google AI answers or another service. See our healthcare AI search guide and healthcare SEO services to decide which support fits your needs.
