Start with the service information you control
Check that important pages explain what the practice offers, where it operates, who the service is for and the practical next step. Resolve contradictory facts across your own pages before adding more content.
A useful service page should help a visitor even if Google never uses it in an Overview. An extra paragraph written only to repeat a search phrase gives that visitor little reason to stay.
Ask for the right technical check
Google states that a page must be indexed and eligible to appear with a snippet to support AI features in Search. Ask the supplier to check the specific page if there is an access or indexing concern.
Google also says there are no special additional technical requirements for these features. Do not buy a new file, schema type or content format on the promise that it secures an Overview citation.
Read evidence carefully
Save the query, date and observed result when checking an Overview. One search from one setting is an observation, not a complete ranking report. Different answers and appearances should remain visible in the record.
Do not treat an ordinary Search Console total as a precise count of enquiries caused by AI Overviews. The source must actually support the channel and outcome being claimed.
Prioritise a useful next step
If your page is unclear, improve the answer and contact route. If it is inaccessible to search, investigate that. If it is already useful and accessible, further work needs an explained reason. A growing number of articles is not a substitute for a better service decision.
