What to change
Ask your supplier to distinguish harmless dismissal of information from leaving a popup containing unfinished work, with a clear route to keep editing.
A worked example
Illustrative example
An unfinished callback request remains open after a stray tap outside its panel, while an explicit Cancel action offers a clear way to leave.

Why this matters to your practice
Tapping outside a simple information panel may be a convenient way to close it. The same action is less helpful when it silently discards a partly completed callback request. Ask your supplier to distinguish those situations. Where meaningful work could be lost, make leaving a deliberate choice with a clear way to keep editing. The panel should still have an obvious exit; protecting entered answers should not leave visitors feeling trapped behind an obscure close icon.
A practical review example
A visitor entering a callback request may tap just beyond the panel while trying to reach its edge. Ask your supplier to demonstrate what happens with fictional answers in place. If meaningful work would be discarded, the agreed confirmation should explain that consequence and offer a usable return to editing. Compare a read-only information panel, where quick dismissal may be appropriate. Protecting work should not remove every obvious exit or leave the visitor dependent on an obscure corner icon to escape.
How to check the result
Accept when accidental backdrop interaction cannot silently destroy substantial work and deliberate dismissal remains straightforward.
A mistake to avoid
Disabling all dismissal routes except an obscure corner icon can prevent data loss while making the popup unnecessarily difficult to escape.
