Return patients to their review after a small correction

A review screen may offer Change links that send visitors back to the start of the entire form. A small correction then becomes a long and uncertain repeat journey.

What to change

Ask the supplier to let people change a specific answer from the review page and return to that review without unnecessarily repeating every later step.

A worked example

Editing an email address returns to the review with the corrected address visible. Editing location additionally requests a valid service choice for that location.

Why this matters to your practice

A review page should make corrections feel safe. Someone spotting a mistyped email address needs a short route to fix it and reassurance that the revised address will be used. They should not be forced to repeat unrelated sections just to reach review again. Ask your supplier to distinguish simple edits from changes that affect later answers. Reception can identify those dependencies, such as a location change affecting available services, so convenience does not leave the final request inconsistent.

How to check the result

Accept when changes follow the shortest sensible route and the final review reflects every correction and relevant dependency.

A mistake to avoid

Automatically skipping dependent questions can make editing fast while leaving an internally inconsistent request ready to submit.
