What to change
Ask your supplier to review empty, filled, corrected and browser-filled answers in the dark appearance, including a change of theme during the task.
A worked example
Illustrative example
An automatically filled email address stays readable in the dark theme, and its correction message uses an appropriate background and text combination.

Why this matters to your practice
If your website offers a dark appearance, every important form state needs to work within it. Changing the background alone can leave error text, borders or selected options difficult to see. Ask your supplier to show an empty form, a completed form and a correction in that theme. Include any setting that follows the visitor's device preference. The same question and answer should remain clear when the appearance changes, with no need to switch themes to finish an enquiry.
A practical review example
An email address automatically filled by the browser may use colours that worked on a light page but become hard to read after the theme changes. Ask your supplier to show that real state, not just empty boxes on a dark background. Continue through an error and confirmation using fictional details. Then switch appearance midway through another attempt. The values should stay intact and every instruction remain readable, so the visitor never needs to abandon their chosen theme merely to finish an enquiry.
How to check the result
Accept when every step of entry and recovery is readable in the offered theme, including browser-provided and third-party elements.
A mistake to avoid
Offering a theme toggle creates an expectation that the complete task works there, not just the header and decorative sections.
