What to change
Ask your supplier to review caption placement across screen sizes and player states, keeping both the words and important picture information usable.
A worked example
Illustrative example
A two-line caption remains readable above the player controls when the visitor pauses to review it on a small screen.

Why this matters to your practice
Caption placement deserves a check alongside the video itself. On a small screen, player buttons or other overlays may cover the words just when somebody needs them. Ask your supplier to review representative captioned moments with controls visible and hidden, including fullscreen. Your team should also look for meaningful picture information being obscured. The objective is to let visitors follow the words and the relevant visual explanation together, rather than merely confirm that captions technically exist.
A practical review example
A caption line may sit safely above the controls in a large player but disappear behind them on a phone. Ask your supplier to pause at representative captioned moments, reveal the controls and enter fullscreen. Your team should check whether meaningful visual information is covered as well as whether the words remain readable. Use longer caption lines in the review. Merely confirming that a caption file exists does not establish that someone can follow the explanation comfortably in the player actually published.
How to check the result
Accept when captions can be read throughout ordinary playback, pause and fullscreen states without conflicting with necessary controls.
A mistake to avoid
Moving captions higher for one clip can cover meaningful visual information, so test the actual media and available presentation options.
