What to change
Ask your supplier to let visitors stop automatically changing slides and keep the pause behaviour predictable while they read or interact.
A worked example
Illustrative example
A visitor pauses a rotating set of branch panels, reads one completely and uses Next to inspect another at their own pace.

Why this matters to your practice
Automatically changing slides can move information away before someone finishes reading. Ask your supplier to provide a clear pause action and show what happens after a visitor interacts with the carousel. The pause should be dependable, rather than restarting unexpectedly after a short delay. Review longer captions and linked slides, since those require more time than a decorative image. Visitors should be able to control the pace and reach the same information through ordinary navigation controls.
A practical review example
A longer caption may disappear before someone has finished reading it. Ask your supplier to pause the carousel, wait and follow a link or move between controls. It should not resume unexpectedly merely because a short timer expires. Then demonstrate deliberate resumption and reaching each item through ordinary controls. Review the phone version too, where less text fits at once. The visitor should control the reading pace, with the same useful information available without needing to react to an automatic transition.
How to check the result
Accept when visitors can stop automatic movement and retain control of the reading sequence without repeated reactivation.
A mistake to avoid
A pause control that appears only during a short hover window can be as difficult to use as the moving content itself.
